I was staying at a rented beach house in Oregon. Holding my then 2 y.o.'s hand going down some concrete steps, and *crash*... Crack. Surgery. Four plates and eight pins. I am impressed that you hobbled to the party after all was said and done. I was barely able to do more than crutches for weeks afterward.
